Harriet: Where do you think we should go for dinner on Friday, John?

John: Friday? Oh, you mean Marnie’s birthday party, right? How about that Chinese restaurant near your office?

Harriet: No way! Didn’t you hear about the food poisoning incident there last week?

John: Food poisoning? Maybe we’d better steer clear of there, then. Hey, how about the sushi restaurant in the mall? I love that place.

Harriet: You mean Sakura, right? I adore that place too, but remember, Rex is allergic to seafood.

John: That’s right. I clean forgot. Well, how about that new Mexican restaurant downtown? We all love spicy food, right?

Harriet: Mexican! What a brainwave! I’d completely forgotten about that place. It’s settled! I’ll call and book right away.

そのまま使える便利なフレーズを覚えましょう。

How about that Chinese restaurant near your office?

"how about〜"は、「〜はどう？」という意味。相手の意見を求めるときによく使います。
ex) How about a movie? 映画を見に行けばどう?

No way!

何かを強く断るときに使うフレーズです。
ex) "Can you lend me some money until payday?"
"No way!"
（給料日までお金を貸してくれる?）
（嫌だよ!）

Maybe we'd better steer clear of there, then

"steer clear of〜"は、「〜を避ける」という意味です。
ex) Ever since the fight, I've been steering clear of her.
（喧嘩以来、彼女を避けている）

What a brainwave!

"brainwave" は、「ひらめき、霊感、素晴らしい考え」という意味です。インフォーマルな状況で使います。

It's settled!

"settle 〜" は、「〜を決める」という意味です。"It's settled"で「それで決まり！」。このまま覚えちゃいましょう。

I'll call and book right away.

"right away" は、「さっそく、今すぐ」という意味。 "at once"、"immediately"なども同じ意味です。
ex) Could you send me an e-mail right away?
（すぐメールをいただけませんか？）

Harriet: メキシコ料理!　そりゃ名案だ!　あの店のことを完全に忘れてた。じゃ、決まりだね。さっそく電話して予約するわ。
