Ben: Hey, Sally. Have you learned the ropes yet?
Sally: Yeah. It was a bit confusing at first, but I think I’m getting the hang of things now.
Ben: That’s good to hear. Everyone here is pretty easygoing, so if you ever get stuck, all you have to do is yell.
Sally: Thanks. I’ll remember that.
Ben: By the way, I was wondering if you had any plans for tonight. I was wondering if you’d like to join me for a drink after work.
Sally: Oh, I’d love to Ben, but I really have to stay tonight and finish preparing these documents for tomorrow’s meeting. Can I take a rain check?
Ben: Sure. How about next week sometime?
Sally: That sounds great!

"learn the ropes"は、「仕事を覚える、やりかたを覚える」という意味。"acquaint yourself with" "familiarise"、"get used to" という言い方もあります。
It was a bit confusing at first, but I think I'm getting the hang of things now.
"get the hang of 〜"は、「〜に慣れる、分かってくる」という意味。 他に、"learn"、"become proficient at" 、"pick up the basics"、"become familiar with" という言い方もあります。
ex) I think I'm getting the hang of driving on the right hand side of the road now.
（右通行で運転するのに段々慣れてきたみたい）

"be stuck(get stuck）"は、「分からないことがあって先に進めない」というニュアンスのフレーズです。「行き詰っている状態」というイメージです。

Can I take a rain check?
"rain check"は、「雨天で中止になったときの振替券」を意味しますが、"take a rain check"で、招待されたんだけど断らなくてはならない時に使えます。「招待された時に応じることができなくて断るが、後で受けるという約束をする」というニュアンスがあります。同じような意味の単語として、"postpone," "reschedule," "defer" という言い方もあります。
