Chloe: Hey, Jim! You’ll never guess who I bumped into downtown this morning!

Jim: Who?

Chloe: Max Stewart! Remember him from school?

Jim: Max! That name’s a blast from the past. Where did you meet him?

Chloe: Well, I was hanging around the station trying to kill time before my doctor’s appointment when he happened to walk past.

Jim: How was he? Did you talk long?

Chloe: Yeah. He seemed well. He mentioned that he’s getting married next month.

Jim: Max!? Getting married? I never thought I’d see the day!

Chloe: Yeah, tell me about it. Anyhow, we exchanged phone numbers and promised to go out for a drink sometime soon. He’s dying to catch up with you.

"bump into"は、「ばったり会う」という意味。同じ意味の表現として、"meet by chance," "happen upon," "run into,"　"come across"も覚えておきましょう。
ex: I bumped into my old high school French teacher yesterday.

「懐かしい名前だね」
"a blast from the past"は、「懐かしい」という意味のインフォーマルな表現です。「懐かしがらせる」という意味では、"brings back memories" という表現が使えます。
ex: This song is a blast from the past.

Well, I was hanging around the station trying to kill time before my doctor's appointment when he happened to walk past.

「病院の予約待ちで、駅前でうろうろして時間をつぶしていたら、偶然通りかかったの」
"hang around"は「（同じ場所を）ぶらぶらする、うろつく」ということで、たいてい誰かを待っている状態を示唆します。
"kill time"は、「時間をつぶす」ということ。同じ意味の表現として、"pass the time," "fill in time" という言い方もあります。

「ゼッタイあり得ないと思ったのに！」
"I never thought I'd see the day"は決まり文句で、「こんな日が来るとは決して思わなかった」から転じて、「信じられない」という意味になります。
ex: I never thought I'd see the day you would come home.
