Mike: Have you given any more thought to that trip to Greece I mentioned the other day?
Robin: Yeah, I’d love to go, Mike, but I don’t really know if I should be splurging on an overseas trip right now. I still have $2000 to pay off on my car and that raise I was hoping for doesn’t look like it’s going to happen any time soon.
Mike: Come on, Robin. After all that stress at work you’ve had lately, you need a relaxing holiday to recharge your batteries.
Robin: Yeah, I do need a rest, but I don’t think I can afford to be away from the office too long. The moment my back is turned, the work will start piling up again.
Mike: I’m sure your office could do without even you for a week or so. And you’ve been dying to go to Europe for ages. This is a great chance to see the sights, and we can stay at my friend’s beach house, so it’ll be really cheap.
Robin: Well…
Mike: Come on, you only live once!
Robin: Well… OK then, you’ve twisted my arm!

"splurge on 〜"は、「〜にお金をいっぱい使う」という意味。ニュアンスとしては、「必要ないものに対してムダ金を使う」といった感じです。
ex "I'd love to splurge on bubble bath."

「さいきん、仕事のストレスで大変だったんだから、充電するためにのんびりした旅行が必要だろう」
"recharge your batteries"は文字通り、「充電する」という意味です。「充電期間が必要だ」なんて日本語でも使いますね。他の言い方としては、"recuperate," "regain your strength," "re-energise," "pick yourself up" などがあります。
ex: I'm going to recharge my batteries with a week in the sun!

「いいじゃんか、一度きりの人生だぜ！」
"you only live once"は決まり文句で、「人生は一度だけ」という意味。これもまた、日本でもよく使われます。

「納得！」
プロレス技をほうふつとさせる表現、"twisted one's arm"は、「〜を無理やり納得させる」という意味になります。インフォーマルな表現で、イメージはつきやすいですね。同じ意味の動詞として"persuade"も覚えておきましょう。
ex: He twisted my arm! He told me if I don't accept this time, he'll never ask me again!
（彼に無理強いさせられたわ！ 彼ったらこういうのよ、もし私が認めなかったら、もう二度と私には頼まないって！）
