Henry: Wow, this neighborhood sure has changed, huh?
Josie: I can’t believe it. I hardly even recognize it anymore.
Henry: I know. I mean, right there, where the supermarket is, used to be Mr. Jenkin’s corner store. Remember? I used to go there everyday after school, and buy candy and comic books.
Josie: I loved that place. It’s such a shame it’s gone. Also, I can’t get over the number of apartment buildings. A lot of the old houses have been torn down. I wonder if my old house will still be there.
Henry: Well, I see one thing that hasn’t changed.
Josie: What?
Henry: There’s Sam’s Diner. I can’t believe it’s still there.
Josie: Oh my god, you’re right. Well, don’t just stand there. Let’s go!
Henry: Alright, alright. Say, I wonder if Sam’s still working there.
Josie: Only one way to find out.

I hardly even recognize it anymore.
「もうほとんど分からないくらいよ」
"hardly"は、「ほとんど〜ない」で、婉曲的な否定表現です。同じ意味を表す表現として"scarcely", "barely"などがあります。
ex: He hardly noticed what she was saying.

I wonder if my old house will still be there.
「私がむかし住んでた家はまだ残ってるのかしら」
"I wonder if 〜"で「〜かどうかと思う」。気になる内容によって、"I wonder what 〜", "I wonder why 〜", "I wonder who 〜"などの形になります。
ex: I wonder why he is here.

Say, I wonder if Sam's still working there.
「ところで、サムはまだあそこで働いてるのかなあ」
この場合の"say"は副詞で「ところで、そういえば」という意味。アメリカ口語英語です。

「行ってみなけりゃわからないわよ」
この文章を直訳すると「見つける方法はただひとつ」。この文脈に照らし合わせて考えれば、その方法は明白で、「直接行ってみること」。それを婉曲に表現しています。ほんの少し、皮肉が込められているかもしれません。
