Sam: I don’t get it.
Mary: What?
Sam: Well, do you think Arsenal is going to just back off now that they’ve scored a goal?
Mary: Maybe. I don’t know. It kind of looks that way, doesn’t it?
Sam: But it’s such a waste. I mean if I were Arsen Wenger I would make my team ram it down the other’s throat. Just look, they’ve got all those amazing strikers and they’re not using them. This is the best team in the Premiership, they should just roll right over them.
Mary: You’ve got a point. I guess they just like to play it safe.
Sam: But they don’t have to. If this was say Leeds vs. , oh I don’t know, say, Manchester United, and Leeds got a goal, which would be highly unlikely, I could understand them going defensive. But Arsenal. Wenger should just be able to say to any of his strikers, “hey, you go down there and score a goal.” And it should happen just like that.
Mary: Well, I don’t think it’s quite that easy. But I definitely wish they would pick up the pace a little bit. This is sure turning out to be a boring game.

"ram something down someone's throat"で、「〜を無理に押し付ける、強制的に飲ませる」という意味。"ram"の代わりに"push"、"cram"となることもあります。
ex: That's just my opinion, and I don't mean to ram it down your throat.
