Doctor: Excuse me, are you Mr. Miller?
Andy: Yes, that’s me. Andrew Miller, doctor. Is Miles alright?

Doctor: For now yes. Mr. Parker has experienced a mild attack of angina pectoris. It’s a sort of spasm in the heart caused by an insufficient level of oxygen rich blood. His heart was already in a weakened condition, and he tells me that he had left his apartment to go visit this young lady here –

Sadie: Yes, that‘s right, doctor… I’m Sadie…Sadie Jackson.

Doctor: Well, it seems from what he told me, Mr. Parker was worried about you for some reason and left his apartment to come to yours, and the emotional and physical stress of the whole thing must have weakened him enough to bring on the attack.

Sadie: I knew it was my fault…I knew it!…

Andy: Sadie, now don’t do this again, we talked about this. Miles is a sick man…you can’t blame yourself for this.

Doctor: I have to say, Mr. Miller, is right, Ms…Jackson, was it?

Sadie: Yes.

Doctor: Anyway, any little bit of activity could have brought this on. Mr.Parker was supposed to stay in his apartment and rest for two weeks, after which he was to come back to the hospital for further examination. You see, we’re worried about his causing further deterioration of his heart muscle. Mr. Parker has never had a full-blown heart attack, but the one he suffered the other day was comparatively worse than the one three years back. We want to avoid an angioplasty, er, bypass surgery, if we can, but we need Mr.Parker to co-operate. He needs to rest. Now, we’re going to keep him overnight, just to be on the safe side. If his condition seems stable, we will discharge him tomorrow morning around 11am. Would you be able to pick him up at that time, Mr. Miller?

Andy: Yeah. No problem.

Doctor: Okay, great. Also, Mr. Parker has asked to see both of you. I must tell you though he is still feeling weak from the attack, so I will let you see him, but one at a time, for five minutes each. Okay?

Sadie/Andy: Okay.

Doctor: Right. Follow me, please.
