Its Juliet’s first day at Gershon Hope. Rick is introducing her to her co-workers.

Rick: And let me introduce you to your neighbour. This is Simon Wilson.
He was with us for two years as an intern and became a full time staff member earlier this year. Simon, this is Juliet Summers.
Juliet: Nice to meet you Simon.
Simon: Hi Juliet. I’ve been looking forward to meeting you. Will’s told me a lot about you.
Juliet: Nothing too terrible I hope.
Simon: All good, actually. I’m looking forward to working with you.
Juliet: Thanks. Me too.
Rick: This is Brent Havers over here. He’s one of our junior managers.
Juliet: Hi Brent.
Brent: How’s it going?
Juliet: Great.
Rick: And this is Amy Travers. She’s in charge of admin here.
Amy: Hi, Juliet. Welcome to Gershon Hope.
Juliet: Thanks Amy. I’m really looking forward to working here.
Amy: It’s so nice to have another girl in here. I was beginning to despair. I’ve been the only female in this section for the last year. Hey, if you don’t have any plans, would you like to grab lunch with me later?
Juliet: Thanks, I’d like that.
Amy: This is a really fun office to work in. I hope you enjoy working here as much as we do.
Juliet: I’m sure I will, Amy. I’m sure I will.

(私は、皆さんと一緒に働けることに大変興奮しています。)
“be excited about〜”で、「〜にワクワクしている、〜に興奮している、張り切っている」という意味。とても楽しみにしている気持ちを表すのに良く使われる。
ex. I'm really excited about our trip to Europe.
(私は、ヨーロッパに行くことにワクワクしている。)
This is your cubicle over here.
(ここがあなたの個人用オフィスです。)
“cubicle”は間仕切り(パテーション)で小さく区切った小部屋、作業スペースのこと。洋画でオフィスの様子が出てくると、この形式を多く見かける。トイレの個室を指す事もある。
ex. I'm in the second cubicle to the left.
(私は、左から2番目の作業スペースにいる。)

(彼は2年間インターンとして私たちと働き、その後、今年の初めにフルタイムのスタッフとなったのです。)
“earlier this 〜”で、「〜の初めに」という意味。“earlier this week”「今週の初め」、“earlier this month”「今月の上旬」、“earlier today”「今日の初めという使い方もある。」
ex. I met him earlier this week.
(私は、今週の初めに彼に会った。)

(彼女はここの管理の責任者だ。)
would you like to grab lunch with me later?
(後で一緒にランチしない?)
「grab」は掴み取る、引っつかむという意味の他、軽く飲む、食べるという意味もある。ですので「grab lunch」というとさっと軽くランチを取るということで、レストランで座ってというよりも、テイクアウトしてきて食べる感じ。「have lunch」よりも気軽な表現。
ex. We've got half an hour, so why don't we grab some lunch now?
(30分があるから、今昼食を食べようか?)
