Justin: OK then, what do we do first?

Eva: Well, it says here, we have to put a scoop of ice cream into each
serving dish and put them in the freezer until the dessert is
done.

Justin: Right, I’ll take care of that, then.

Eva: Alright, while you’re doing that I’ll make the sauce. Now,
let me see… “melt butter with sugar.” That’s no problem.
While that’s happening I’ll squeeze the orange and lime juice.
Have you seen the lemon squeezer?

Justin: Oh, Ben broke it the other day trying to crack walnuts.

Eva: For Pete’s sake! What was he doing trying to crack walnuts with
a lemon squeezer?

Justin: Dunno. I guess he thought that since it was one of those ones
with the handles that you squeeze together that you’d be able to
crack nuts with it too.

Eva: What an idiot! Well, I guess I’ll have to hand-squeeze these
then.

Justin: I’ve finished doing the ice cream, so I’ll do it for you.

Eva: Thanks. Now let me see, once the lime and orange juice has gone
in, we have to simmer until the sauce is thick. That’s nice and
easy. Next step, add the Kahlua.

Justin: Here, this is Ben’s Kahlua. Use plenty of it!

Eva: Good idea! Now we have to add the bananas. I’ll chop them up
now. We need 1/4 cup of rum as well, and it needs to be heated.
Can you do that?

Justin: Sure thing. Hey, Ben has rum here as well. Let’s see, 1/4 cup
for the dessert, and a swig for me!

Eva: “Heat bananas in sauce until evenly coated…” OK, done that.
“Pour rum over banana mixture and boil off alcohol.” Ready with
the rum?

Justin: Yep, here you go. Wanna swig before I put it back?

Eva: Well, if you insist! Mmm!

Justin: He’ll never notice!

Eva: You hope! Anyway, I think the bananas are ready. Can you get the
ice cream out of the freezer?

Justin: OK. And you just spoon the bananas over top?

Eva: That’s right. Here you are. Get that down you!

Justin: Mmm! This is delicious!
