Sharon’s whining
Maria and her friend Sharon get together with their mutual friends, Vicky and Chris. Vicky meets Chris for the first time.
Dialog

Vicky: So Chris, you do window-dressing…that’s wonderful! I always wanted to know what it’s like behind the scenes of those beautiful windows…can you tell me?
Chris: You might not want to know once I tell you what it’s really like…
Sharon: (to Maria, whispering) It really gets on my nerves whenever Vicky bats her eyelashes in front of guys—and did you hear the way she talked? She never speaks like that when she’s with her female friends! It’s put-on!
Maria: Don’t worry, Sharon. Chris is not stupid enough to fall for things like that. Even if he were, he’s not interested in girls.
Sharon: Then why don’t you tell that stupid bitch he’s gay?
Maria: Well, I could, but I can’t say that right in front of him, can I? I’ll
tell her later.
Sharon: Sometimes I don’t know why we still hang around with her…
Maria: Easy, Sharon, easy…I know Vicky’s like that, but it doesn’t bother me. Some people say you get too critical about certain qualities of others only because you have something in common inside of you…

behind the scenesは「舞台裏、水面下」という意味。人には見られたくないような裏の部分、という意味が込められていることが多いように思います。
It really gets on my nerves whenever Vicky bats her eyelashes in front of guys.
(ヴィッキーが男子に色目を使うとほんと頭にくるのよね。)
get on one's nervesで「頭に来る、イライラする」。スラングというほどではありませんが、くだけた表現です。bat one's eyelashesは「色目を使う」。まつげをぱちぱちする、というのがもとの意味ですから、イメージがわきやすいですね。

put-onとは「とってつけた」すなわち「気取った、見せかけの、猫かぶり」といった意味です。この場合のItはthe way she speaksのことですね。
Chris is not stupid enough to fall for things like that.
(クリスはあんなものにひっかかるほどバカじゃないし。)
fall forは「〜にひっかかる、だまされる」という意味。forの後に人が来ると「〜を好きになる」という意味になります。
Ex) I've fallen for someone I shouldn't.
(好きになってはいけない人を好きになってしまった。)

M: 落ち着いて、シャロン、イライラしないで…ヴィッキーはああいう子だってことわかってるけど、私は気にならないの。他人の性格にみょうに批判的になるのは、自分自身に同じような部分があるからだって言う人もいるわよ…
