Yukio: Hi, Robert! Good to see you! Where’s Megan?

Robert: Oh, she couldn’t make it. She went to a jazz concert with Alex.

Yukio: Oh! I see.

Robert: Why don’t you go and talk to Takako? She doesn’t know anyone here.

Yukio: Takako? Which one is she? Is she the woman wearing glasses over there?

Robert: No, she’s the tall one in jeans. She’s standing near the window.

Yukio: Oh, I’d like to meet her.

Good to see you
思いがけなく会った時や、久しぶりに会った時などの挨拶で使われます。

she couldn't make it

"make it"は「都合をつける、間に合う」といった意味です。
ex) You will make it if you hurry.
（急げば間に合うよ）

Why don't you go?

"Why don't you〜"は「〜してはどうですか、〜しませんか」という意味で相手に提案したり、勧誘する時などによく使われる表現です。

Is she the woman wearing glasses over there?

"over there"は「あそこに、向こうに」という意味。

I'd like to meet her

"I'd" は "I would"の省略形「〜したいと思う、〜させてもらいたい」といった意味で、話し手の意志や感情を表現した言い方。
