Alice is talking to her friend about the fireworks she just saw the day before.

Eiji: Happy New Year!

Alice: Happy New Year! How was New Year’s Eve?

Eiji: Good, really good. I went to a party at a friend’s house. How about you?

Alice: It was fun. I went to a countdown party with fireworks in the park. It wasn’t that cold either, so we stayed quite a while.

Eiji: Sounds good. What were the fireworks like?

Alice: Good – well, average I suppose – nothing special. But fireworks are always pretty, and the kids love them.

Eiji: Yeah, though my youngest finds the noise a little scary I think.

Alice: Sure! Something you need to get used to a little!

Explanations

How about you?

How about you?

What were the fireworks like?

How were the fireworks?"
ex) What is he like?
What does he look like?

Good - well, average I suppose

my youngest finds the noise a little scary I think.

"find A B"で「AをBと思う」という意味になります。

Something you need to get used to a little!

"get (become) used to"は「〜に慣れる」という意味。
ex) I got used to drive in heavy traffic in Tokyo.

Eiji:

Alice:

Eiji:

Alice:
