Luise: Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year?
Alice: I’m not sure if you’re supposed to, but I made three!
Luise: I don’t see any problem with it! What were they?
Alice: One was to spend more time with my brother. I want to see him more often.
Luise: OK.
Alice: Then, as a lot of people do, I said I’d try to exercise more this year.
Luise: Yep! That was my resolution too!
Alice: And finally, I decided to take a vacation this summer and go to Mexico. I’ve been really wanting to go for a few years now, but have always put it off. This year, I’m going to go!

"I'm not sure if ..."で「...はどうかわからない」という意味。"supposed to"の後に"ask me such a question"があることが推測できます。 全文で「このようなことを質問されるのも少しおかしいし、答えるのも気が引ける」 という意味になるでしょう。

ここの"see"は「理解する、考える」という意味。
I said I'd try to exercise more this year.
"said"の後ろに"myself"が省略されていて、自分自身に言い聞かせたという意味。この"I would 〜"で話し手の「〜するだろう」という推量を表します。
ex) You would do better with a calculator.

I've been really wanting to go for a few years now,
「今までずっと〜したかった」という現在までの継続を表す表現です。
but have always put it off.
"put off"は「延期する」という意味です。他に"postpone"、"wash off" もあります。
ex) We decided to put off the meeting until next Monday.
（次の月曜日まで会合を延期することに決めた）
The game was washed off.
（試合は雨で延期された）
