Two co-workers, Bonnie and Clyde, are talking about another new co-worker. Bonnie is not quite sure what to think about him, but Clyde tries to remind her of the fact that he's still new and maybe just nervous.

Bonnie: Hey, what do you think of Duncan – the new guy?
Clyde: He seems alright, I guess. I get the impression he’s a pretty serious worker, but he’s just started, so who knows?
Bonnie: Yeah, I found the same thing. He just does everything so keenly. Not that it’s a bad thing. I mean, it’s great he has spirit and all, but too much is too much, you know.
Clyde: Well, if he turns out to be like that, he’d be kind of annoying to be around. But, as I said, he’s new so he’s probably just nervous. Give him a break. I’m sure he’ll come around.
Bonnie: Alright. I guess I should give him more of a chance.

「マジメな働きバチって感じがする」
"impression"のあとに"that"節が省略されていて、「"he's a pretty serious worker"」という印象を受ける」という意味になります。関連表現として、"get the idea that〜"（〜だと思い込む）もつかえるようにしたいですね。
ex: Many people get the misguided impression that he is a nice guy, but actually, he's not.

「まだわからないよ」
直訳だと、「誰が知ってるの？」ですが、これは婉曲表現で、日本語にすると「誰にも分からないよ」くらいに訳せます。同じ意味の表現としては、"No one knows" "It's anybody's guess" "God only knows"があります。
ex: Which team do you think will win the Game?
Who knows?
（どっちのチームが勝つと思う？）
（わからないよ）
Give him a break.
「大目に見てあげようよ」
最後に出てくる"I should give him a chance"とほぼ同じ意味です。「もうやめてくれよ、大目に見てくれよ」という意味で、「Give me a break!」という表現もよく使われますね。

「きっとそのうち彼自身も変わるって」
"come around"は「ぐるりとまわってくる」という意味があり、そこから転じて「向きを変える、考えを改める」となります。
