Steve: Come on, Ann, we’re running late. The plane leaves in one hour.

Ann: I know, I know. I’m coming. I just got off the phone with Mrs. O’Donnel across the street. She’s going to check on the house for us while we’re away.

Steve: That’s great. Did you check all the windows and doors to make sure they’re locked?

Ann: Yep, and I took care of the lights as well. The timers are all set.

Steve: Okay, and we have all the bags. Looks like we’re ready to go.

(at the airport)

Steve: This is great. Everything went off without a hitch, and we still have half an hour.

AirportStaff: Tickets please, sir.

Steve: Sure thing, they’re right he–Damn It!!

"be running late"で、「予定よりも時間がかかってしまっている」という意味になります。予定通りに進んでいれば"be running to time"、予定より早く進んでいれば、"be running ahead of time"となります。

「なにもかも順調に進んだね」
まず、ここでの"go off"は「物事が運ぶ、進行する」。"without a hitch"は、「スムーズに」「何事もなく」「手順よく」という意味。あまり聞きなれない熟語かもしれませんが、文脈でなんとなく意味を推測することができればＯＫですね。
ex: I installed the software without a hitch.
（そのソフトウェアは順調にインストールできた）

「はい、ここ・・・しまった！」
