Sophie: What a charming little town! Did you used to come here often?
Tim: Yeah. My grandparents had their holiday home here, so we’d come and visit every summer. I’ve been here so often I know the place like the back of my hand!
Sophie: Well, you’ll have to give me a full guided tour. I’m dying to see all the places where you used to hang out as a kid.
Tim: Me too! This is sure going to bring back memories.
Sophie: Before we see the sights, though, I’m starving! Take me to the best restaurant in town!
Tim: There’s a place just up the road from here. It’s called “Valentines.” We used to have our family get-togethers there. They do the best rack of lamb. Its mouth-watering!
Sophie: Sounds perfect… What’s the matter, Tim?
Tim: Huh? I could swear it used to be right here but…
Sophie: But this is a sports shop. Are you sure you know this town inside out?
Tim: I thought I did, but everything has really changed since I was last here.
Sophie: How long has it been?
Tim: Now that you mention it, about ten years!

「ここにはよく来ていたの？」
"used to do 〜"は、現在は変わってしまった、過去の事実や状態を表す表現で「〜する習慣があった。いつも〜していた」という意味です。疑問文や否定文にする場合は、普通、この文のように"did"と組み合わせて用いますが、形式ばった文体では"used not to 〜"や"Used you to 〜?"のような形で使われることもあります。"be/get used to doing 〜（〜するのに慣れている）"の形で用いられる、形容詞の"used to"と混同しないように気をつけてください。
ex: Chris used to play football when he was in high school.
（クリスは高校のときフットボールをしていた）

「この場所のことは何でも知ってるよ！」
"back of one's hand"は「手の甲」。
"know 〜 like the back of one's hand"は、「自分の手の甲のように隅から隅まで知っている」という意味のイディオムです。
ex: Stephanie knows Peter like the back of her hand. They've grown up together.

「ほんと懐かしいなぁ」
"bring back memories"は「思い出させる。思い出をよみがえらせる」。懐かしいモノに出会ったときに、口を突いて出てくる表現です。
ex: This music brings back memories of when I first travelled to Italy.
（この音楽は懐かしいな。初めてイタリアに旅行したときのことを思い出すよ）
They do the best rack of lamb.
「子羊のあばら肉の料理が絶品なんだ」
"do"は、「（料理を）こしらえる」という意味で用いられます。
ex: We recently bought a gas grill, so now we cook out every Saturday. We do steak, burgers, chicken, pork chops, and hotdogs on the grill.
（最近ガスグリルを買ったんで、毎週土曜日にはアウトドア料理してるんだ。ステーキ、ハンバーガー、チキン、ポークチョップ、ホットドッグをグリルで焼いてね）
Are you sure you know this town inside out?
「この街を知り尽くしているってのは確かなの？」
"inside out"は「裏返し」という意味ですが、"know 〜 inside out"で「〜を裏の裏まで知っている」というイディオムです。
ex: If you have a question about Tokyo Disneyland, ask Mariko. She knows there inside out."
（東京ディズニーランドについて質問があるなら、マリコに聞きなさいよ。彼女、何から何まで知っているから）

Tim: 知ってたと思ってたんだけど、前回来た時から、ホントに何もかも変わっちゃったんだ。
Sophie: どれくらい経ってるの?
Tim: そう言われてみると、10年ぐらい経つね!
