Robbie is looking tired. His friend and colleague Samantha notices him yawning.

Samantha: You’ve been yawning all morning Robbie. Did you have a late night?
Robbie: Yeah, my parents are visiting from out of town today and I spent all night cleaning my apartment.
Samantha: That was a wise idea. If your mother saw your apartment in its usual state, she’d have a fit!
Robbie: Yeah, that’s what I thought. Mum has a real thing about cleanliness.
Samantha: I’m surprised it only took you one night to make the place presentable. I would’ve thought it was a one week job.
Robbie: It was. I’ve been tidying up every night for the last week.
Samantha: It must be spick and span now then!
Robbie: It’s presentable. But I have a feeling when Mum gets here she’s going to do some cleaning herself!

「お母さんがいつもの状態のあなたの部屋を見たら、きっとカンカンに怒るわ」
"fit"には名詞で「（感情などの）発作、激発」という意味があり、"have a fit"というフレーズで「腹を立てる、ビックリする、発作を起こす」となります。
Mum has a real thing about cleanliness.
「キレイさに関してはホントにうるさいからね」
"have a thing about 〜"で、「〜に対して強い感情をいだく」。マイナスの感情を意味することがほとんどです。
ex: My husband has a thing about wrinkles -- he can't tolerate them anywhere, in his socks, gloves, sheets, underwear, etc.
（私の夫は、しわに関してホントにうるさいんです。靴下、手袋、シーツ、下着など、どこにでもしわがあると許してくれないんです）
I've been tidying up every night for the last week.
「先週は毎晩キレイに片付けてたからね」
"tidy up"で、「整理整頓する、片付ける」という意味。ここでは"I've been cleaning my room..."と言い換えることも出来ます。
ex: I am going to tidy up the web page sometime soon.
（来週にはウェブページを整理するつもりだ）

「じゃあ、もうピッカピカでしょ！」
"spick and span"はフレーズで「ピカピカの、きれいな、真新しい」という意味。
ex: The products you use to make your home spick and span may be harming your health!
（おうちをキレイにするために使用している製品が、あなたの健康を害しかねません）
