Malcolm: What are you filling out there?
Janine: It’s an application form for a worldwide telephone service. I’m going to use it when I go to Brazil next month to phone home. It’s really cheap.
Malcolm: That’s cool.
Janine: But one of these questions has me stumped. It asks here what the V-code of my credit card is, but I don’t have the faintest what a V-code is.
Malcolm: V-code? I wouldn’t have a clue either. Have you tried looking it up on the internet?
Janine: No, I haven’t. That’s a good idea.
Malcolm: Let’s see if anything comes up.
Janine: Oh great, there are heaps of hits.
Malcolm: Look! Here’s your explanation. It’s the three digit code written after your card number above the sign panel on the back of your credit card.
Janine: Great! Thanks Malcolm, you’re a doll!

But one of these questions has me stumped.
「でもひとつわけ分からない項目があるの」
"stump"は他動詞で「〜を困らせる」という意味があり、ここでは"have someone stumped"という形で使われています。解決策や答えが見つからない、というニュアンスです。"stamp"と似ているので注意。
ex: Every now and then, I'm stumped by a question I get from a reader.
（時々、読者からの質問で答えに困ってしまうことがあります）
but I don't have the faintest what a V-code is.
「Ｖコードがなんのことかさっぱり分からないのよ」
正確には"don't have the faintest idea..."で、「〜に関して少しも分からない」ということ。"faintest"は、否定的な文章を強調する役割があります。
ex: I don't have the faintest clue as to what you're talking about.
（あなたが何を言っているのかさっぱり分かりません）
I wouldn't have a clue either.
「ぼくも分からないなあ」
"have a clue"で「知っている、分かる」。"have an idea"でも同じ意味となります。否定文で使われることが多いです。
ex: The doctors did not have a clue as to what was wrong with him.
（そのお医者さんは、彼のどこが悪いのか見当もつかなかった）
Have you tried looking it up on the internet?
「インターネットで調べてみた？」
"look something up"で「〜を調べる」。"on..."の後は「〜で」にあたります。
ex: I had no idea where it was, so I looked it up on a map.
（どこにあるか分からなかったので、地図で調べてみた）
