Mechanic: So, how did the accident happen?
Hettie: Well, I just pulled into a car park and was waiting to take a ticket when the car in front of me suddenly decided to back out without looking behind him and crashed into me.
Mechanic: You have a pretty big dent in your bonnet here, and your bumper’s going to need replacing.
Hettie: Can you fix the bonnet without having to replace it?
Mechanic: No, I’m afraid we’re going to have to change that too.
Hettie: You’re kidding! How much is this going to put me back?
Mechanic: Well, you’re looking at replacing this whole front section. It’s going to come to about $1200.
Hettie: No way!
Mechanic: I spoke to your insurance company on the phone earlier though, and it sounds as though the other guy’s insurance will pay for the damage in full.
Hettie: That’s a relief. The last thing I need right now is to have to fork out that kind of money!

"pull into"は「〜に車を入れる」という意味のフレーズです。関連表現として覚えておきたいのは、"pull over"。これは「車を止める」という意味で、警官が車の停車を命じるときに"Pull over!"と使います。

"a relief" は「ほっとすること、安心、安堵」の意味。"relieve"の名詞形です。"give a sight of relief"（ほっとひと息つく）の表現も覚えておきましょう。
