C: Kevin, wake up! It’s two o’clock in the afternoon. Can’t
you do something more constructive with your life than sleeping
on the couch?
K: Hey, I have a big gig coming up tonight. I have to save my energy.
C: Big gig! Since when has your band ever had a big gig? You stink!
You need to grow up and find a real job like the rest of us.
K: We’re on the verge of making it big Carrie. This battle of the
bands coming up is going to be our big break. We’ve got awesome
material, and it’s going to blow the judges away.
C: I don’t care about your dumb battle of the bands. What I care
about is that you haven’t put in your share of the rent for two
months now. If you don’t come up with the money by the end of
next week, I’m going to have to ask you to leave.
K: Don’t worry Carrie, I’ve got it all under control. When we win
the contest, I’ll have more than enough money to pay you back!
C: And pigs might fly out of my ass!
