N: It was great to catch up with everyone after so long. I can’t
believe how much some people have changed!
B: Like Karen Taylor. She’s really blossomed into a beauty.
N: Yeah. I remembered her as a skinny tomboy that was obsessed
with horses. She’s definitely grown up a lot since then.
B: She sure looked stunning. I wasn’t surprised to hear that
she’s working as a model.
N: And she seemed to like you. It looked like you two were getting
on like a house on fire.
B: Well, she’s a very down-to-earth girl who’s led a pretty amazing
life. She’s a fascinating person to talk to.
N: Sounds like you have the hots for her. So, are you going to ask
her out?
B: There’s no way she’d go out with me. She’s totally out of my
league.
N: Hey, I saw her give you her number. She wouldn’t have done that
if she wasn’t interested. Why don’t you give her a call?
B: Do you reckon?
N: Why not? You’ve got nothing to lose.

「彼女、本当にきれいになったね。」
“blossomed into 〜" は、「成長して〜になる、発展して〜になる」という意味のイディオム。ここでは、"blossomed into beauty"で、「美人になる」と表現する。その他、"blossomed into a nationwide chain"「全国規模のチェーンに発展する」、“blossomed into true love"「真実の愛に発展する」などもあわせて覚えておくと便利でしょう。
Ex. Their friendship blossomed into true love.

It looked like you two were getting on like a house on fire.
「なんか2人とも意気投合って感じだったよ。」
“get on (along) like a house on fire (afire)" で、「意気投合する、とても仲が良い、急に親しくなる」というイディオム。
Ex. My brother and my new boyfriend got along like a house on fire.
（弟と新しい彼氏は、意気投合した。）
Well, she's a very down-to-earth girl who's led a pretty amazing life.
「うーん、彼女とっても現実的な女の子なんだけど、びっくりするような人生経験してるんだよね」
“down-to-earth" は、「現実的な、実際的な、徹底的に、落ち着いた」という意味。人の性格を表す時によく使われるので、覚えておきましょう。
Ex. Even though he's rich and famous, he's very down-to-earth.
（彼は、有名で金持ちなのに、とても現実的です。）
Sounds like you have the hots for her.
「彼女の事、相当好きみたいね。」
“have the hots for〜" で、「〜に恋心を持つ、〜に激しくひかれる」という意味。
ここでのhotは名詞として使われているので、hots の形になる。また、“hot" は、主に「性的な魅力のある」というセクシーな意味合いを含む表現でもある。
Ex. He has the hots for his new English teacher.
（彼は、新しい英語の先生に恋をしている。）
She's totally out of my league.
「役不足だね。」“be out of one's league" は、「守備範囲外で、能力を超えて、手に負えない、役不足で」という意味のイディオム。
Ex. She's rich and beautiful. Totally out of my league.
（彼女は金持ちできれいだ。俺には無理だ。）
