R: Ray
T: Oh, I’m so sick of the city! I wish I could just get away from
it all for a few days.
R: Well, if you’re free this weekend, a few of us are going camping
in the ranges. How about it?
T: Camping! That sounds great! How many of you are going?
R: Well, there’s Charlene and Josh, they’re bringing their two kids
with them. Then there’s Emmy, Jill and Brandon from work and my
friends Justin and Alex, so that makes ten of us.
T: Wow! Sounds like fun. I’d love to join you.
R: Cool! Alex’s dad is a butcher so we’ll have heaps of good food
and Justin works at a brewery so we’ll have plenty of drinks
too. All you have to bring is warm clothes and a sleeping bag.
T: Oh. I threw my old sleeping bag out last summer. Do you have a
spare one that I can borrow?
R: Ah, sorry. I’m lending my spare to Emmy. But I’ll ask around
and see if someone has an extra one lying around somewhere.
T: Thanks! Wow, I haven’t been camping in ages. I can’t wait!

"be sick of 〜"は「〜にうんざりしている、〜がしゃくに障る、
〜が嫌になる」という意味。他には、"be tired of", "feel
choked", "be fed up", "be weary of"などの言い方ある。
強調して言う場合には、"be sick and tired of"と言うことも多い。
Ex: I'm sick of Amy's bragging.
（エイミーの自慢話にはうんざりする。）

"heaps of／a heap of"は「たくさんの、山のような」という意味。
"heap"は名詞では「積み重ねたもの、塊」という意味で、動詞では
「積み上げる、山盛りにする」という意味である。
Ex: Our teacher gave us heaps of homework.
（先生は、私たちに山のように宿題を出した。）

（だけど、誰かがどこかに遊ばせてる余分な寝袋を持ってるかどうか、

"lie around"は、ここでは「（使われなくて）遊んでいる」という
意味。他には「その辺にある、散らかっている、寝転がってぼんやり
する」などの意味がある。"lie"を使ったイディオムには、"lie
behind 〜"「〜の背後にある、〜の原因となっている」、
"lie in"「いつもより寝坊する」、 "lie up"「病気で引きこもる」、
"lie with 〜"「〜の役目である」などがある。
Ex: I love cycling, but my bike's been lying around since
I broke my leg.
（私はサイクリングが大好きだけど、足の骨を折ってから、
私の自転車は遊んでる。）
