C: Did you see the way Lara and Sabrina were acting around each
other last night? The look Lara gave her when she entered the
room! She was staring her down!

K: I know. Sabrina did well to ignore her.

C: But she could hardly ignore Lara bitching about her at the top
of her voice. She must have overheard. I mean, Lara wasn’t
exactly being discreet about her insults.

K: Yeah, she did make a bit of a spectacle, didn’t she?

C: So, what’s the story?

K: Well, from what I hear, the two of them fell out at the opening
party for Lara’s new store last month. It was supposed to be
Lara’s big day, but Sabrina waltzed in and announced to everyone
that she’d just landed a job on TV.

C: So, what’s wrong with that?

K: Well, Lara loves to be the centre of attention, doesn’t she?
It was supposed to be her big day, but Sabrina took all the
focus away from her. She was pretty pissed.

C: If you ask me, she’s acting like a silly schoolgirl. I think
Sabrina’s better off without her as a friend.
