A taxi driver, Glennys, is taking Sam, a tourist to his destination, and talking about the weather.

G: Where to?

S: Mission Bay please. How long will it take roughly?

G: We’ll be there before you know it! Should be less than ten.
Are you from out of town?

S: Yep, from Australia, Canberra. I’m supposed to be meeting my
cousin in Mission Bay, that is, if he managed to get up on time.

G: I hear you’re having some pretty hot days over the Tasman now.
Heard on the telly it was 40 degrees the other day.

S: Oh mate, it’s weather for the sunnies all right. But you’re
having a decent summer here too. Today’s getting up there.

G: I think I’ve got it pretty cushy, you know, sitting in the car all
day with the air conditioner on, reading the paper! Mind you,
drivers can get pretty testy in this sort of weather.

S: Oh yeah?

G: Road rage, or whatever they call it. In really hot weather, people
tend to get a bit aggro in the rush hour.

S: Well, just get me there in one piece please!
