Dialog

繰り返し聴いて英語の自然なリズムを身につけましょう。

James, a tourist, is checking out of this hotel, and talking to the receptionist.

R: Good morning Sir, I trust you slept well.

J: Yes, very well thanks. I’m checking out this morning, here’s
my key.

R: I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay with us. Did you manage to find
your way around town?

J: Yeah, I took a wrong turn the first time, but I figured it out in
the end. The weather wasn’t great yesterday, that was a bit of a
downer, but I kept myself occupied around the town.

R: Now you’ve already paid on reservation, did you use the snack or
drinks bar in your room?

J: Ooh, nearly forgot. I had a couple of beers last night. Sorry, I
forgot to bring the form. What’s the damage on that?

R: Well two cans of beer comes to $8.

J: OK, I’ll pay in cash. Here you are. I still can’t get used to
this different currency. You know, eight bucks in US dollars is
pretty steep!

R: (laughs) Well, you ARE drinking the finest English beer!

J: You got that right!
