Ken is talking to his colleague Claire about the weekend, when he babysat his 4-year-old niece.
Claire: How did you enjoy babysitting?
Ken: Better than I feared, actually. At one point, I thought she was going to crash my notebook computer…
Claire: Oh, Ken!…good gracious!
Ken: What happened was she was playing an online game on my PC—you should see the way she handles the mouse! I never expected to see a 4-year-old using the mouse that well! Anyway, she clicked and dragged something she shouldn’t have, and all of a sudden, the screen went all black.
Claire: Oh no…
Ken: But luckily, the computer went back to normal after a few minutes, as if nothing had happened! Since then, it’s been working all right.
Claire: Maybe your PC is allergic to little kids, just like you are.
Ken: The problem is she seemed to have had great time at my place, probably because I let her do all kinds of things her mother wouldn’t allow her to…playing online games and watching TV for the long haul…and she now says she wants to come back and play with me again!

at one pointは「ある箇所で、一時」という意味。人に何かの経過を説明する時などにとても便利です。

（彼、お金持ちになることには興味ないって言っていたことがあるわ。）
Maybe your PC is allergic to little kids, just like you are.
（もしかしたらあなたのPCもあなたみたいに小さい子供にアレルギーがあるのかもよ。）
be allergic to…は「…にアレルギーがある、…が大嫌いな」という意味。have allergies toと言ってもいいですが、have allergiesと言った方がより「（本来の意味での）アレルギーがある」という意味合いが強くなります。
Ex) Do you have allergies to any kind of medicine?
（何か薬にアレルギーがありますか？）
for the long haul
（長時間にわたって、長い目で見れば）
同じようなフレーズにin the long runというのがありますが、こちらは「長い目で見れば、結局」という意味ですね。
Ex) In the long run, it's not a bad job.
（長い目で見れば、悪い仕事じゃない。）
