Ken: Claire, when did you say you’ll have a day off?

Claire: Friday…this coming Friday. Why?

Ken: That’s too bad. Because Russell’s farewell party is scheduled on that day. Is there any chance you could at least show up at the party?

Claire: Where and what time is it going to be?

Ken: It starts at 7 p.m., at the Grand Central. I think we’ll be around until 10.

Claire: Hmm…sounds a bit difficult, but let me see if I can rearrange my schedule. Actually, we’re going to throw a baby shower for our friend on the same day. If I can sneak out, I might be able to come and say good-bye to Russell.

Ken: Your friend is having a baby? Congratulations! When’s the baby due?

（金曜よ…今度の金曜。）
this Fridayと言えば単純に「今週の金曜」と訳せそうですが、たとえば、話しているのが土曜である場合、this Fridayっていつ？ということになりかねません。「次の」金曜なのか、「昨日の、今週の」金曜なのか、の違いを明らかにしたい場合には、前者ならthis coming Fridayと言い、後者ならFriday just goneと言います。

show upは「現れる、顔を出す」という意味。turn upも同じく「現れる」という意味ですが、こちらは「（思いがけず誰かが）現れる」というような意味で使われることが多いようです。
Ex) She turned up when everyone was saying good-bye.
　（皆がお別れを言う時になって彼女は登場したんだ。）

（実はね、その日、友達にベビー・シャワーを開いてあげるのよ。）
「ベビー・シャワー」とは、出産前の母親にベビー用品を送ってあげるパーティーのことで、たいてい、友人や親戚が主催します。日本ではまだなじみがありませんね。今回のような場合のthrowは「（パーティーなどを）催す」という意味。

（予定日はいつ？）
「予定日」のことはdue dateと言いますが、「予定日はいつ？」と聞きたい場合には今回のような言い方をするのが普通です。
