反対語はonlinerですが…さて、意味は?

Claire and her colleague Ken are talking.

Claire: How’re your parents doing?

Ken: Good.

Claire: You talk to them often?

Ken: Yeah, my mom calls me every night. I’ve been telling her to buy a computer and e-mail. But she insists on a life of a nonliner, you know.

Claire: How old is she?

Ken: Seventy.

Claire: You can’t blame her, then.

Ken: Actually, I’m thinking of buying her a small computer for her birthday. Then, she’ll be an onliner.

そのまま使える便利なフレーズを覚えましょう。

（でも、彼女はほら、「ノンライナー」の生活に執着してるんだよ。）
nonlinerとは「インターネットをまったく、あるいは、ほとんど使用しない人」のこと。onliner（インターネットを頻繁に利用する人。online［オンライン］という言葉から来ている）の反対語として生まれた言葉です。

You can't blame her, then.

（じゃあ、悪いこと言えないわ。）
blameは「（〜が）悪いと言う、（〜のことを）責める」という意味。

Then, she'll be an onliner.

（そうしたら、「オンライナー」になれるだろ。）
onlinerはnonlinerのところでも触れた通り、「インターネットを頻繁に利用する人」の意。
