Sharon is talking to her friend Maria, about her upcoming job interview.

Maria: You’re going to have a job interview?

Sharon: Yes, I am! At long last!

Maria: I thought you’d be carrying on with your “soul-searching” for another while.

Sharon: Well, I no longer have the luxury to relax and do nothing. In other words, I’m almost broke. The interview I’ll be having next Wednesday is just a start. I’ll really need to hit the ground running.

Maria: Are you nervous? You haven’t been under that kind of pressure for a while, have you?

Sharon: Me? Nervous? No! The only thing I’m currently worried about is what I’m going to wear on the occasion. Should I be wearing navy? Black? A suit? How high should my heels be?

Maria: Uh…Sharon…you’re not a five-year-old. Your common sense should guide you.

Sharon: Maria! A friend in need is a friend indeed. You don’t want to see your friend embarrassed at the interview only because she was inappropriately dressed, right?

Maria: Job interviews are not mixers, Sharon…your interviewer won’t fail you because your skirt is too tight or your suit was black instead of navy. I think what you need to do first of all is to recover a sense of being a working peason.
