Agatha: If we maybe went out for dinner tonight.
Myron: Huh? Why tonight?
Agatha: Oh…I don’t know. Just a thought…
Myron: Ok. I guess we could go out.
Agatha: You know what Dan bought for Celia for their anniversary?
Myron: Nope. No idea.
Agatha: A diamond necklace. Isn’t that nice?
Myron: Yeah. She’s a lucky woman.
Agatha: You have no idea what I’m getting at do you, Myron? You totally forgot our anniversary, didn’t you?
Myron: Huh? What? What did I forget?
Agatha: Our anniversary you big oaf. It’s today.
Myron: Oh, Agatha, I’m sorry…I’ll make it up to you. We’ll eat at the best restaurant and we’ll see a show. What do you say?
Agatha: I say a diamond necklace sounds about right, Myron.

"get at"で「〜を言おうとする、ほのめかす」という意味。"drive at"と言い換えることもできます。
ex: Do you see what I'm getting at?

"oaf"は男性や子どもを指し「不器用なヤツ、まぬけ」といった意味になります。
ex: He's a big oaf, but I loved him.
（彼ってすごい不器用だけど、大好きだわ）

「お詫びをするよ」
"make it up to"は「〜に償いをする、埋め合わせをする」ということ。
同じ意味のフレーズ "make up for 〜（〜を償う）"も覚えておきましょう。
ex: I really apologize. I hope you'll let me take you out again, and make it up to you.
（本当に申し訳ない。また君をデートに誘って償わしてくれ）

「どうだい？」
相手に意見を尋ねたり誘うときにつかうフレーズです。"What do you think?"としても同じ意味です。「〜をどう思う？（〜はどう？）」というときには、"What do you say to 名詞（動名詞）"の形となります。
ex: What do you say to a nice cup of tea?
（うまいお茶を一杯どう？）
