Claire: Ben! What are you doing?
B: What? Oh, nothing.
Claire: Shouldn’t you be turning the garden beds, and mowing the lawn like you promised you would?
Ben: That’s right. I did promise, and I’ll get to that as soon as I’m finished watching this program.
Claire: Ben, we talked about this last week. You say you’re going to help, then you procrastinate, and in the end, you never do it.
Ben: Look, I’ll level with you. I went to the garage and this big spider, I mean like tarantula big, has built its web on the gardening tools. You know how I feel about spiders.
Claire: You’re such a wimp. First of all, there are no tarantulas in this part of the world. And second, it’s just a web. You probably wouldn’t even have to deal with the spider.
Ben: But what if it flies out and bites me? What if it’s poisonous? What if there are baby spiders that crawl into my…
Claire: Ben! You’re being ridiculous. I’ll get the tools, and when I’m done, you’re going to do what you promised.

"level with someone"は「真実を伝え隠し事をしない」ということ。インフォーマルな表現。"to be frank with you,"と似ています。

「ホント弱虫よね」
"wimp"は話し言葉で「弱虫、意思決定ができない人」という意味。怖がり屋の人や自信がない人を指す単語です。
ex: if you're looking for a gun to make you a man, you're going to be a wimp until you die.
（もし銃を持てば男になれると期待してしまうと、死ぬまで弱虫でいることになる）

"what if 〜"で「もし〜だったらどうする？」。"What if"のあとは、主語・動詞という順番となります。
