Hiroshi's computer has a virus. He asks his friend, Jane, who is pretty good with computers for some advice.
Hiroshi: Hi Jane. Thanks for coming over. Here’s my computer.
Jane: Ok. Hmm. Yeah, like I said on the phone, from what you described, I don’t think I’ll be able to do too much. I’ll have a little look though. Are you on-line at the moment?
Hiroshi: No. I’ll get us on. As I said, that’s the problem; everything works fine, but when I go on-line, I have about 30 seconds before a warning message comes up that says my computer will shut down in one minute.
Jane: I see.
Hiroshi: Ok. We’re on-line now. If we wait a little while, I’m sure the message will come up. So, what do you think I should do?
Jane: Well, like I said, I don’t think I’ll be able to do anything. In that case, you’ll need to take your computer into a shop. PC World are pretty good for that. They have technicians there who should be able to sort it out.
Hiroshi: Great. Look! The message has come up! One minute, then it’s all over.

「電話でも言ったけど」
この場合の"like"は、「〜のように」という意味の話し言葉で使われる表現です。"As I said..."としても同じ意味になります。
I have about 30 seconds before a warning message comes up that says my computer will shut down in one minute.
「ネットに接続すると、30秒くらいしてから警告が出てきて、1分後にシャットダウンしますってメッセージが表示されるんだ」
"I have about 30 seconds before..."を直訳すると、「...の前に30秒の時間がある」、つまり「30秒後に...」という意味になります。
ex: I have 40 minutes before I have to get to work.
（40分後に仕事に取り掛かる）
In that case, you'll need to take your computer into a shop.
「そしたら、お店に持ってくしかないわね」
"in that case"は「もしそうなら、その場合には」という意味。ここでは、直前の言葉を指して「あたしが何もできなかったら」というニュアンスで使われています。
ex: In that case, all you can do is complain.
（もしそうなら、文句を言うしかありません）
They have technicians there who should be able to sort it out.
「専門家がいて、ちゃんと解決してくれるわ」
"sort out"は「整理する、解決する」という意味。"sort 人 out"という形になりと、「〜を懲らしめる、やっつける」となります。
ex: We have to come up with a solution to sort the bad guys out.
（悪いヤツらをやっつける解決策が必要だ）
