Kathleen: Hey, Brian! Not long till you leave for France now. Bet you’re looking forward to it!
Brian: Yeah, I am. It looks like I’ll have a couple of days to sightsee as well, which is a bonus. I’ve been dying for a chance to explore the backstreets of Paris.
Kathleen: Why don’t you get in touch with my brother? He’s been in Paris for five years now and he knows every nook and cranny of the city. I’m sure he’d love to show you around.
Brian: That’s right, Steve’s still in France, isn’t he! That sounds great. I’d love to catch up with him again. I haven’t seen him since Ginny’s wedding two years ago.
Kathleen: I’ll drop him a line and let him know you’re coming. Do you have his contact details?
Brian: I think so, but maybe you’d better give them to me again just in case.
Kathleen: Sure, I’ll e-mail them to you this afternoon.

"show around"で「案内する」。"give a grand tour"もほぼ同じ意味となります。

"drop someone a line"で「〜に手紙を書く」ということ。簡単に"send someone a letter"でも同じ意味です。文脈上、ここではメールを送ることをさします。
