Tim and Suzie, a young working couple, are home from work.

T: Oh, my head is killing me!

S: You look exhausted, what happened to you?

T: Oh, nothing really. I’m just swamped with work again. You know,
being the end of the financial year, I’m busy checking accounts and
things.

S: I thought they hired some new staff to help you out?

T: Yeah, well new work always seems to appear. I might have to put
in some overtime tomorrow and next week.

S: Again? But you worked overtime all last week.

T: It can’t be helped. After next week, things should ease off a bit.

S: I think it’s a bit cheeky of them, getting you to put in all these
extra hours.

T: Well, on the bright side, at least I don’t have to come home to any
noisy screaming kids.

S: Um, yeah… about that… Well, I have some news to tell you….

Explanations

Oh, my head is killing me!

"my 〜(体の部分)is killing me"は、「〜が痛くて死にそう」という
I have a terrible pain in my 〜"、"my 〜
「〜が痛い」という時は、"my 〜 hurts"、"my 〜 is sore"または
"I have a pain in my 〜"となる。
I have a splitting headache"(頭が割れるよう
  "I have a blinding headache"(ひどい頭痛がある)、"I have a
Ex: My feet are killing me.

I'm just swamped with work again.

Ex: I'm swamped with orders.

I think it's a bit cheeky of them, getting you to put in all these extra hours.

Ex: He is so cheeky.

Well, on the bright side, at least I don't have to come home to any noisy screaming kids.

"get on the right side of 〜"「〜に気に入れられる」、"let the
  side down"「期待を裏切る」、"split one's sides"「笑い転げる」、
