P:　Hey, turn that frown upside-down! What’s eating you?

D:　Oh hey Paul. I’ve had it up to here with work. It’s driving me crazy.

P:　Yeah, but you’ve been there for a while, so maybe it’s just time
for a change. Sick of the work?

D:　It’s mainly my bosses. Poor Sally in marketing broke down in
tears yesterday. They’re putting too much pressure on with all
these deadlines. They just don’t listen to our concerns about
extra overtime.

P:　But you get compensated for it don’t you? I mean, you’re doing
pretty well for yourself.

D:　Well, I’ve been there for four years and in that time I’ve had
no big pay rise or opportunity to move up the ladder, while I`m
sure they`re busy lining their pockets.

P:　Well, fine then, with the experience you have, you’ll find something
similar. Why don`t you just jump ship?

D:　I’ve been thinking about getting into a different line of work.
One without the deadlines.

P:　Like what?

D:　I’d love to work in a library! Seriously, what pressure is there
except putting the books back correctly?

P:　Come on, I’m sure there`s more challenging stuff than that.
Besides, you`d need some kind of extra training or study.
I think maybe you need to chill out a bit, take a few sickies.
Then you might feel better.

D:　Maybe you’re right. I think I just got up on the wrong side of bed.
