(Clair is looking away and doesn’t notice it’s their turn.)
Dave: Honey, we’re next.
Claire: Oh…right. I’ve been miles away. (To the cashier) We don’t need a bag.
Cashier: OK.
Claire: (To Dave) It’s been a while since I started carrying this tote bag every time I go shopping, and it’s really good, you know…both environmentally-friendly and economical. Some stores charge you for these plastic bags, you see.
Dave: And our place will be tidier, without the bags lying scattered about.
Claire: That’s right. Those scattered bags really annoyed me. The bin we put used plastic bags in always seemed to be overloaded. We never seemed to be able to put the lid on properly.
Dave: I thought you didn’t care about it.
Claire: Of course I do, darling. I do admit basically I’m disorganized, but certain things do bother me.

（ぼんやりしてたわ。）
be miles awayは「（何マイルも離れているほど）心ここにあらずの状態である」という意味。You seem to be miles away.（どうしたの、ぼんやりして）という風にも使えます。
environmentally-friendly
（地球にやさしい）
「地球にやさしい」にあたる英語は他に earth-friendly/ecologically-friendly/eco-friendlyなどがあります。
Some stores charge you for these plastic bags
（こういうレジ袋にお金をとる店もあるのよ。）
chargeには色々な意味があります。「料金を請求する」という意味でよく使うのは次の二文のような場合かもしれません。
Ex) Do you charge a commission fee for this?
（これに手数料はかかりますか？）
I want to go to the station. How much do you charge?
（駅まで行きたいんですけど、いくらかかりますか？---旅行先でタクシーの運転手にボラれないように尋ねる場合）

（それに家もきれいになるし、袋がそこらじゅうに散らからずにね。）
scatterは「まき散らす」。scatter about/aroundで「そこら中にまき散らす」という意味になります。レジ袋にlie（横たわっている）という言葉を使うのがおもしろいですね。物が片付けられずに放ってある、などと言いたい時にlieを使うことがあります。
Ex) What are these socks doing here---lying here all week?
（この靴下はなんでここにあるの…一週間ずっとここに置いてあるじゃない？）

（使ったレジ袋を入れてた入れ物はいっつもあふるれてたみたい。）
この文の前半部分はどこがどう切れているのかわかりづらかったかもしれませんね。このようになっていました：The bin / (that) we put /used plastic bags / in /（このin はput…inとつながっています）always seemed to be overloaded.

D: 君は気にしていないのかと思っていたよ。
C: やあね、もちろん気になってたわよ。基本的に私は整理整頓ができないっていうのは認めるけど、ある種のものは気になるのよ。
