Claire: (Beep) Hello, Mr. Voice Mail, it’s me. I might not be able to come to the phone next time you try to reach me on my cell. If I’m not available, please leave a message after the beep. Thank you…it really bugs me when you tell me to phone you and you’re out of reach! (Hangs up)
Dave: (Calls Claire a few minutes later) Darling? It’s me…sorry I wasn’t reachable. I was riding the subway.
Claire: You should feel lucky that I’m not using any public transportation.
Dave: Oh, so you got up on the wrong side of the bed.
Claire: I wasn’t in a foul mood this morning! So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?
Dave: Oh, I almost forgot…I wondered what you wanted to have for dinner tonight.

携帯が「圏外」にある場合にはno serviceとも言いますが、「誰かが」圏外、と言う時には今回のようにout of rangeを使います。

留守電の応答メッセージの中でもいちばんポピュラーなものを今回はのせておきました。beepのかわりにtoneということもあります。

（電話をしろって言っておいて電話に出てくれないときって本当に頭来るのよ！）
bugは「イライラさせる」という意味のスラングです。out of reachは「手の届かないところに」という意味。
You got up on the wrong side of the bed.
（機嫌が悪いんだ。）
get up on the wrong side of the bedは「（朝から）機嫌が悪い」という意味。起きる時に本来起きない方のベッドの側から起きた、という意味ですから、おもしろいですね。
