「中国大使館」ってChina Embassy? Chinese Embassy?
意外に間違えてしまうのが、「○○ Embassy(○○大使館)」と言う場合。「○○」の中に入るのは名詞でしょうか、形容詞でしょうか。その他、道案内の際に役立つフレーズも伝授します!

Man: Excuse me, do you know where the Star Hotel is?
Claire: The Star Hotel? Yes. But it’s a little far from here.
Man: Oh.
Claire: Are you going to walk?
Man: That’s what I’ve been planning to do.
Claire: Well, you go down the road for a few blocks, and when you see the Chinese Embassy on your right, you turn left. And then go down the hill, cross the river, and … I think you’ll need to walk for another few blocks.
Claire: Um, could you say that again, please?
Man: Let me draw you a map.

そのまま使える便利なフレーズを覚えましょう。
Well, you go down the road for a few blocks, and when you see the Chinese Embassy on your right, you turn left. And then go down the hill, cross the river, and … I think you'll need to walk for another few blocks.
（それなら、この通りを4、5ブロック行って、右手に中国大使館が見えたら、左に曲がります。それから坂を下って、川を越えて、そして…さらに4、5ブロック行かないといけないと思いますよ。）
go downは「まっすぐ行く」、on your right/leftは「（あなたの）右／左手に」、turn leftは「左に曲がる」。take/make a leftとも言います。blockは「（2組の平行な道路で区切られた）街区、ブロック」のことです。
そして、「中国大使館」はthe Chinese Embassyと言います。「○○大使館」と言う場合、たいていはthe ＜国の名称の形容詞版＞ Embassyです（例：the French Embassy, the U.S. Embassy, the Japanese Embassy）。The Embassy of ＜国名＞（例：the Embassy of China）という言い方もありますが、こちらの方は書き言葉的な響きです。

何か相手の言ったことを聞き直す際の、いちばんポピュラーかつていねいな表現です。
