繰り返し聴いて英語の自然なリズムを身につけましょう。

Colin: Lucy, do you have a minute?

Lucy: Sure, what’s up?

Colin: Well, Samantha and I had a fight the other day, and I want to
make it up to her by cooking dinner.

Lucy: That’s nice of you.

Colin: Yeah, and I was thinking of making that chicken tomato dish you
taught me when we were flatting, but I don’t know what to serve
with it.

Lucy: Well, I think it would go well with a simple salad and maybe
some Italian potatoes on the side.

Colin: Italian potatoes? Sounds complicated.

Lucy: Nah, it’s easy. Even someone as talentless in the kitchen as you
can whip it up easy as pie.

Colin: Really? How do you make it?

Lucy: Well, first you peel some potatoes, chop them into bite-sized
pieces and throw them into a casserole dish along with some
melted butter, oil, garlic and chopped onions.

Colin: Sounds easy so far. What else?

Lucy: Then you sprinkle some red peppers, parmesan cheese and parsley
on top and bake it for a hour.

Colin: That’s all?

Lucy: Yep! It’s easy and really scrummy!
