Robbie calls Leigh to ask for directions to her house.
Leigh: Hello?
Robbie: Hi, is that you, Leigh?
Leigh: Yeah, hi Robbie. Are you popping by today?
Robbie: Yeah, but I mislaid the directions you gave me the other day and I can’t for the life of me remember how to get to your house.
Leigh: Oh, OK. Do you have a pen?
Robbie: Yep. Fire away.
Leigh: OK. Well, you know where Anderson Park is, right?
Robbie: Yeah, it’s just down the road from my place.
Leigh: Good. Well, you go south down Gloucester Street past Anderson Park and turn right at the pottery shop.
Robbie: …right at the pottery shop… OK.
Leigh: Then you go straight ahead for about 100 metres and turn left at the first corner. There’s a big brick house on the corner so you can’t miss it.
Robbie: Alright.
Leigh: Then you go straight ahead for about half a kilometre and hang a right at Diane’s Flower Shop. My house is on the right. It’s number 5.
Robbie: Hey, you’re just a stone’ throw away from John’s house, then!
Leigh: Yeah, that’s right. He’s my neighbour!

"pop by"は「ちょこっと寄る」という意味。他の同じ意味の表現としてて、"visit," "call on," "come to see," "drop in on" という言い方もあります。
ex: I will pop by the supermarket on the way home and do some shopping.

「どうしてもキミの家までの道を思い出せないんだ」
"for the life of me"は「どうしても」という、否定を強調する意味。
ex: I can't for the life of me figure out this problem.

「いいよ」
"Fire away"は「言ってください」という意味。話し相手がなにかを言いたかったり質問したかったりするときによく使います。インフォーマルな表現。"Go ahead" と同じです。

「で、半キロぐらい真っすぐ行って、ダイアンの花屋さんのところを右に曲がるの」
"hang a right/left"は「右・左に曲がる」という意味。"turn right/left"と同じ意味です。

"a stone' throw away"は「石を投げて届く範囲」ということで、「すぐ近く、目と鼻の先」という意味になります。
