Stacey: Tina, what are you doing?

Tina: I just overheard something that…,well, I don’t know. If I heard correct, Jim might be getting himself into trouble.

Stacey: What?! What is it?

Stacey: What? They don’t quite add up? You don’t think they were kosher?

Tina: Maybe, don’t know. Look I gotta go.

Tina has managed to overhear a conversation between Jim and Sean that leads him to believe that Jim's recent success was not just good luck. Jim's expression "too good to be true" is often used when something that might usually be normal appears suspicious. For example, if Jim continued to make major predictions that coincided with important corporate deals, then people might grow suspicious of his actions -- i.e. no one is that lucky. Other expressions that also mean "suspicious" in this dialogue are "it doesn't add up," and "it wasn't kosher." However, these have a different nuance than "too good to be true." Tinais now faced with the difficult decision of whether to go to his boss to report on Jim or protect his friend.
