It's the next day, and Sadie stops by to welcome Miles home from the
take up jogging
Miles: Who is it?
Sadie: Miles, it's Sadie. Is it
alright if I come in or should I come back some other time?
Miles: (opens the door) Of course,
it's alright. It's good to see you.
Sadie: How are you feeling?
Miles: Not too bad. I'm a bit tired,
Sadie: I heard from Andy yesterday.
It's a miracle you weren't hurt seriously.
Miles: He mentioned that he met
you. He felt kind of bad. He got the impression that you thought
he might be robbing the place or something.
Sadie: No. I just…I'd never seen
him before, and I saw him coming out of your apartment and locking
the door. I thought maybe you had moved away or something.
Miles: It's nice of you be concerned
for me like that…Say, what's that you've got there?
Sadie: This? Oh, this is for you?
I hope you like it.
Miles: This is really nice. I think
this is the first basket I've ever gotten. Thank you, Sadie.
Sadie: It's mostly healthy things,
fruits and nuts and stuff. I know you like wine and I thought about
getting you some, but under the circumstances…
Miles: Don't worry about it. This
is great. I guess I do have to start watching what I eat a bit.
Who knows, maybe when I get better I might even take up jogging
or walking or something. Say, why don't you come in for a bit.
Sadie: Sure, if you're feeling
up for it. I mean, I know you just got out of the hospital today…
Miles: No problem at all. It'd
be nice to have some company. Yeah, have a seat in the living room.
I just have to take my medicine.
Sadie: Sure thing.
